Our approach

We aim to use clear language, readable text, strong colour contrast, keyboard-friendly controls, descriptive page titles and layouts that work on phones, tablets and computers.

Using the website

You should be able to zoom the page, increase text size, navigate using a keyboard and use common screen-reading software. The website includes a skip link to help keyboard users reach the main content.

Known limitations

Some external websites, embedded services, downloadable material and future video or audio content are controlled by other organisations and may not meet the same accessibility standard. We will add captions, transcripts or alternatives to Rise Sober-owned media where reasonably possible.

If anything is difficult to read, understand or operate, email risesober@thandicollective.co.uk. Please tell us which page or feature caused the problem and what device or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable doing so.

We will acknowledge the issue, look for a practical alternative and use the feedback to improve the website and app.

Alternative formats

If you need Rise Sober information in another format, contact us and we will consider what we can reasonably provide. Punjabi and Hindi versions are planned for later development.
