Who we are
Rise Sober is a peer-led recovery community created by Jay Thandi. You can contact us about privacy at risesober@thandicollective.co.uk.
Information you choose to give us
This website does not currently have accounts, a contact form or a mailing list. If you contact Rise Sober by phone, WhatsApp, email or social media, we receive the information you choose to share through that service. Please share only what is needed.
Recovery and health information can be especially sensitive. We do not ask people to send detailed medical or recovery histories through the website.
The Rise Sober app
The current test app may save routine progress, gratitude entries and personal recovery settings locally in your browser or on your device. Rise Sober does not currently receive that locally stored information through the website. Clearing your browser data may remove it.
Hosting and essential technical information
Our hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser information and security logs, to deliver and protect the website. We do not currently use advertising cookies or non-essential analytics on this website.
Other services
Links to Zoom, WhatsApp, Ko-fi, social networks, YouTube and other recovery organisations take you to services controlled by those organisations. Their privacy notices apply when you use them.
How we use and keep information
We use messages to answer enquiries, provide meeting information and offer appropriate peer support. We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed and do not sell personal information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask what personal information Rise Sober holds about you, request a correction or ask us to delete information where applicable. Email risesober@thandicollective.co.uk. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes
We will update this notice if the website or app begins collecting information in a different way.
