Rise Sober is a peer-led community based on lived experience. Jay Thandi and other community members are not acting as doctors, therapists or emergency responders through this website or the Rise Sober meeting.
Information, not personal medical advice
Content in the website and app is general information and personal experience. It should not be treated as medical diagnosis, detoxification advice, treatment planning or instructions to start, stop or change medication.
Professional and local help
Speak to your GP or an appropriate local alcohol and drug service if you need medical advice, assessment or treatment. Different services and recovery pathways help different people.
Fellowships and providers
Rise Sober is independent. Links to AA, NA, CA, Al-Anon, SMART Recovery, Sikh Recovery Network, treatment providers and other organisations are provided as possible routes to support. Those organisations are responsible for their own information and services.
No guarantee
Recovery tools, meetings, prayer, meditation and other practices can support people, but outcomes vary. Use your judgement, seek appropriate professional support and choose the safest next action.
